Less than 24 hours to go to unlock the secret behind POCO X2

With only less than 24 hours left to the India debut of Poco X2, excitement is running peak high. With limited information available on the features and specifications, there are wide speculations that it is going to be a rebranded version of Redmi K30. This is not going down well with Poco fans as after a wait of 18 months they are not getting their hands on a true flagship killer Poco.

Let us recap on the specifications revealed by Poco and the leaks floating on internet too.

Poco claims that time has come to dump the technology of the past. It wants its users Xperience charging tech that is #SmoothAF. Promising a screen refresh rate of 120Hz and a 4500mAH battery which can be charged up to 40% in just 25mins with 2A fast charger. X2 will be providing an “Extreme Refresh Rate, Extreme Gaming.”

The teasers shared by Poco India and image leaks of Poco X2 have led to speculations that display should be on similar lines as Redmi K30. It can be sporting a 6.67″ screen with 20:9 full HD, narrow bezels, and 120Hz ‘RealityFlow Display.’

The phone will have a quad rear camera setup which includes a 64MP primary camera (Sony IMX686, 1/1.7″, f/1.89, 1.6um), 8-MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2-MP portrait camera, and 5-MP macro camera. There is a dual camera in the front, a 20-MP, and 2-MP selfie lenses. The leaked images of the prototype show MIUI 11.0.2 based on Android 10.

The price of Poco X2 is speculated to be INR18,999 ($265) for the base variant 6GB/64GB model. Going by the Geekbench scores, there is one more memory option of 8GB. Post-launch, it will be available for booking on Flipkart site which has been an exclusive retail partner of Xiaomi.

While sharing his views on the launch and specs during an interview with Techpp, C Manmohan confirmed that X2 will share one feature with its predecessor. “Look at the Poco F1,” he says. “It is almost a year and a half old, but it has got regular software updates. Whether it was MIUI or Android, the team worked to keep it updated, adding new features to the device such as Widevine certification, and tweaking camera performance. Which is why people are still buying it. That is something we are going to keep going. Those who buy the X2 can be assured of getting software updates, keeping the phone up to speed in software terms for as long as possible.
