Redmi “K”iller Series was launched in China earlier on 28th May in a mega-hyped event. It was announced that Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro will be rebranded and sold globally. It got launched in EU countries under the label of Mi 9T a few days back. The countries where it has been launched so far are France, Italy, and Spain. India is also expecting Redmi K launch anytime in June. But under which brand name it will be sold in India is still a mystery.
Mi 9T has got a debut date in Asia
The latest region name which has cropped up is Malaysia where Xiaomi Mi 9T will be launched. It will be the fourth market for Redmi K20 to find place. The launch event will happen on 20th June 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as per the media invites sent out by Xiaomi Malaysia. The focus of the launch event will be country specific. It is being speculated that a possible launch in other Asian markets might also be announced.
At the event, Xiaomi Mi 9T will occupy the center stage but it is expected that Mi 9T Pro might also be unveiled. The Pro model has not yet been launched anywhere globally. But we will come to know about it in next week’s launch event.
On Sale In Malaysia
Pricing, availability, sale, color variants as of now have not yet been officially confirmed. But Online retailer Shopee has stocked Mi 9T and is priced at RM1799 for 6GB/128GB variant. It is available in Red color hue.
Redmi K20 as said earlier has been launched as Mi 9T model in non-Chinese Markets. The features that need mention are a 6.39-inch full-HD+ screen, Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC, and 6GB of RAM. The device is powered with the triple rear camera setup. It includes a 48 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP secondary sensor with a telephoto lens, and a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. There is a 20 MP front shooter onboard as well.
